N. John  Shea
N. John Shea, of Crofton, MD, died at his home on Wednesday, July 12, 2017.

Born July 28, 1946, in Washington, D.C., to the late Edmund and Marjorie Shea, John was a 1964 graduate and standout football player at St. John's College High School. Following high school, he played football and graduated from William and Mary University in 1968. John then served his country as a Captain in the U.S. Army. After working for 23 years as a lender, John moved to Real Estate and became a Broker. He was a member of the National Association of Realtors and enjoyed fishing, attending sporting events and was a fanatical Redskins and Nationals fan.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Edmund, Jr., William, Robert and Patrick Shea.

John is survived by his wife, of 33 years, Marcie Shea; four children, Katherine (Shea) Gagnon, John Walker, Patrick and Brian Shea; four stepchildren, Raymond Boileau, Brigette Imirie, Juliet Weaver and Melinda Boileau; two siblings, James Shea and Josephine Kendall; and 11 grandchildren.

Friends may call at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD on Tuesday, July 18 from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 1800 Seton Dr, Crofton, MD on Wednesday, July 19 at 12:00 p.m. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to an organization of your choosing.
