Obituary for Alvan E. Outland Sr.
Alvan E. Outland Sr. of Ann’s Choice Community, formerly of Horsham, Pa., passed away Thursday, July 13, 2017. He was 85 years old. Born in Phila., he was the son of the late Homer and Maud (nee Ellis) Outland and the beloved husband of Dorothy F. (nee Cook) Outland.
He was the loving father of Dotti Outland (Diane Meade), Alvan Jr. (Lorraine), Diane Kelly (late John) and David (Joan) Outland.
Also surviving are 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Alvan was a Past District Governor of Lion’s International of Pennsylvania, a lifetime member of the Horsham Fire and Ambulance Corps. He was a retired Captain of the Horsham Police Department and a retired United Methodist Minister.
Relatives and friends will be received Monday Evening, July 17, 2017 after 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM in The Decker Funeral Home, 216 York Rd. Warminster and Tuesday Morning after 10:00AM until time of his Funeral Service at 11:00 AM in The Chapel at Ann’s Choice, 30,000 Ann’s Choice Way, Warminster, Pa. 18974.
Interment will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to either the Ann’s Choice Benevolent Fund, 20,000 Ann’s Choice Way,
Warminster, Pa. 18974 or American Keswick, 601 Rt. 530, Whiting, N.J. 08759-3599 in Alvan’s memory.
