He was predeceased by his wife Valentina, parents, Antonio and Maria do Sacramento Da Rocha, sister in law Clementina Tavares, as well as 4 sisters and 4 brothers.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 21, 2017 when family and friends will gather for a Funeral Mass in St. Anthony's Church at 11:00 a.m. celebrated by Rev. Luigi Filippini. Interment will follow at St. Andrew's Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Thursday, July 20th from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Sargent and Son Funeral Home with prayers to commence at 7:00 p.m. If friends desire, memorials to St. Joseph's Foundation of Thunder Bay or the Portuguese Association of Thunder Bay would be appreciated.
