Obituary for Ida M. Morris (Marquez)
1937-2017
Ida Morris, age 80, a life-long resident of Los Lunas, NM, was called home on Friday, July 14, 2017. She was born April 27, 1937 to parents, Anastacio and Lorencita Marquez. Ida was the youngest of five girls. She was a stay at home mother while raising her children. You could always find her in the kitchen cooking home cooked meals or working hard on the farm. She enjoyed making home cooked meals for family and friends and made home-made tortillas daily. Ida also Volunteered being a "grandma" in the Los Lunas Schools where she dedicated more than ten years. Ida spent and enjoyed lots of her time at the local senior citizen centers dancing and enjoying time with her friends. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend. Ida was loved by many and will be greatly missed. She is survived by her three children, Son Patrick Morris (Laura) of Los Chavez; daughters, Tina Morris of California, and Teresa Morris of Bosque Farms; grandchildren, Ronalei Mickle-Hodge, Christy Mickle, Lataya Morris, Abel Maestas, Samantha Maestas, Issiah Ornelas, Israel Morris, and Dilia Morris; and 8 great-great grandchildren. Ida is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. All services will be held at San Clemente Catholic Church, on Wednesday, July 19, 2017. A Viewing will begin at 8:30 a.m., with a Rosary to be recited at 9:30 a.m. and a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at San Clemente Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by the caring professionals at the Noblin Funeral Service Los Lunas Chapel, 2211-D Main St., (505) 866-9992.
