Obituary for William Henry Youck

William Henry  Youck
William Henry “Bill”/“Billy” Youck, 28, of Indianapolis, passed away at home on July 17, 2017. Billy was born in Indianapolis August 22, 1988 to William A. Youck and Kristin Jean (Amos) Youck.

Billy was the youngest of three siblings and was part of a very close-knit family of grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his mother Kristin “Kris” Youck and his grandparents Harry “Bud” Amos, Frances “Fran” Peachey Amos, and William T. Youck.

Billy lived in Indianapolis most of his life and graduated from North Central High School in 2007. He attended Purdue University in West Lafayette and later worked as a Project Manager for Goodwill Industries of Central Indiana. Throughout his childhood and adolescence, Billy was an enthusiastic athlete and excelled in many sports including baseball and tennis. He was an avid sports fan and follower of the Indianapolis Colts, Pacers and Butler Bulldogs. He was a member of Christ Church Cathedral in Indianapolis where he served as an acolyte for ten years. He had an infectious smile and loved to make people laugh. He inherited his mother’s compassion and love for animals and was known for his kind and generous spirit.

Billy is survived by his father, William A. Youck of Sullivan; two sisters, Kelly Youck of Danville and Caitlin (Adam) Calloway of Danville; grandmother, Barbara Youck of Camby; three aunts, Kyle (Steve) Franklin of Camby, Sharon (Kurt) Byrd of Florida and Mary (Jim) Weldon of Camby; a niece, Chloe Calloway, and several cousins.

Family and friends may gather 12-1 p.m. on Monday, July 24, 2017 at Christ Church Cathedral,125 Monument Circle, Indianapolis, IN 46204. The funeral service will commence at 1 p.m. with The Very Reverend Stephen Carlsen officiating. Billy will be laid to rest at West Newton Cemetery, Indianapolis.
