Ms. Arlone Ross of Katy, TX passed away peacefully in her home on Wednesday August 9, 2017. Arlone was born in Cleveland, MS on March 24, 1961 to Walter and Arlone Ross. After the loving marriage of her parents had dissolved, being the second youngest of 14 siblings Arlone had big city plans for her future. At the tender age of 13 (approx.) Arlone moved to Michigan to live with her father and some siblings who had migrated from Mississippi to Detroit. A few years later in 1979 she met and married Richard Giles, they together had a daughter, Autumn Giles born in September of 1980. The two later divorced 4 years later but continued to co-parent in raising their daughter together.
After working countless years as an Office and Accounting Manager for firms in Michigan, California and Texas, Arlone was forced to stop working and focus on her health after receiving her Breast Cancer diagnosis in 2011.
Arlone is survived by her daughter, Autumn Giles; her loving grandson, Richard Massey IV; her sisters, Margaret, Jan, Mary, Mable, Isabelle; her brothers, Tarzan, Patrick, James and Roosevelt. She is proceeded in death by her parents, Walter and Arlone Ross; her brothers, Clifton, Walter, John(Sunny), Peter and Truman. Along with quite a few nieces and nephews, all of which she loved dearly.
Due to the wishes of Ms. Ross, no services will be held as she will be cremated and her ashes spread across the Mississippi River, per her request. In lieu of flowers the family has requested, if you wish, to donate to a breast cancer awareness program of your choice to help fight for a cure.
