78, of Halifax It is with great sadness that the family announce the passing of Marjorie Evelyn(Taylor) Leviston on Tuesday July 18, 2017 at home peacefully surrounded by her family and devoted pets Ozzy, Hattie and Mr. Kitty. Born May 8, 1939 in Georges River she was the daughter of the late Charles and Jessie Taylor. Marjorie was a loving and devoted mother to sons Gary (Anglea) and Kenneth (Kim) MacPherson (Their father Lauchie MacPherson); grandmother to, Taylor, Adrian, Devin, Nicholas and Alicia; great grandmother to Daniel and Emily. Throughout the years Marjorie maintained a loving relationship with her siblings, Betty (Dave) Beanlands, Gwen (Burk) Keeping, Linda (Dave) Bennett, Shirley (Ronnie) Rose, Joan (Alfie) Warhuus, Bonnie (Cyril) Evis, Donald Taylor, Tom (Suzanne) Taylor, Charlie (Patsy) Taylor; sister-in-law Virva Taylor. Predeceased by her brother, Ralph; sister-in-law, Shirley. Marjorie worked in the social work field for over 30 years with the family SOS and Metro Community Housing touching many lives. Her contagious laughter and youthful spirit with be missed by all family and friends. Special thanks to long-time friends, Eileen, Linda and Donna for their love, attention and care during Marjorie’s battle with cancer. A celebration of Marjorie’s life will be held 2-4 p.m. Sunday July 23rd 1794 Preston Street, Halifax. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
