Obituary for Margaret Anna Dunham

Margaret Anna Dunham
Margaret Anna Dunham, lifetime resident of Point Pleasant Beach, passed away at the age of 90 on July 18, 2017 at Ocean Medical Center surrounded by family.
She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Clinton Lucien Dunham, her sister, Marietta “Dolly” Lane, her three children, Darene Kacprowicz, Randall Dunham, and Kim Knutstad; nine grandchildren, Cherie Bavosa, Jennifer Powers, Erin Dunham, Kimberly Tuccillo, Andrea Garcia, Richard Grape Jr., Randall Grape, Michael Dunham, Travis Dunham, as well nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother, David Hulse Jr., and two grandchildren, CJ Dunham and RJ Kacprowicz Jr.
Margaret was affectionately called “Peg” or “Peggy” by friends and family, but to Clint she was simply "the most beautiful girl in Point Pleasant". Finding one person who compliments you, whose rough edges match your own, someone who makes you whole and complete, is largely unheard of today. Peg met Clint in 1942, writing him as he served in World War II and marrying after his return.
Daughter of David Vincent Hulse Sr. and Marietta Elizabeth Rhoades, Peg was a New Jersey girl to her core. It was no surprise that they chose to settle in Point to raise their family. Their marriage illustrated the deep bond of true love and served as an example to their family of what relationships should aspire to be. Peg remains Clint's sun and moon, the undeniable force that shaped his world. Their love was a rare, beautiful, and remarkable thing to behold. Her passing leaves him with a heavy heart and represents the final sunset on the greatest adventure of their lives.
Peg loved gardening and entertaining at her home on Bay Avenue or fishing with her husband on the Barb-Gail. A diehard Yankees fan, she never missed a game. She enjoyed trips to Atlantic City to play slots, bingo, and gin rummy, but could also be found taking road trips or vacationing with her family in Florida or the Bahamas.
Of all of her life’s achievements, her greatest moments are remembered by those who called her Mom or Nanny. Caring and insightful, all problems could be solved over a cup of coffee or tea and her sound advice. Always in high spirits, Peg was lighthearted and carefree, a perpetual source of fun. She was found cracking jokes, laughing, and teasing her husband and family even in her final days.
Margaret Dunham was a truly amazing woman, wife, sister, mother, and grandmother. She invested herself in her home and family and took pride in the legacy she would leave behind. She will be sorely missed.
Family and friends are invited to attend visitations on Monday July 24, 2017 from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm and Tuesday July 25, 2017 from 11 am until 1 pm at Orender Family Home for Funerals 2643 Old Bridge Road Manasquan, NJ 08736 at which time the funeral service will begin.
