Ruth L Hall
Ruth Louise Hall a 65 year resident of Mahwah, NJ died July 18, 2017 at the age of 97. Ruth was born July 3, 1920 in Montreal, Canada to parents William Charles Batten and wife Louise Isabel Smith. She married her husband Leonard in 1940 and moved the United States in 1952 with their infant son Grant. They became naturalized citizens in 1955. Her other son William was born 1954 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern, NY. Ruth retired in 1991 after 23 years as Office Manager at Weather Seal Contracting, Inc. in Mahwah, NJ.
Ruth was predeceased by her husband Leonard, a retired 25 year Ford employee at the Mahwah Assembly Plant, in 1988. She is survived by her two sons Grant and William and her granddaughters Brooke and Brittany and family who all helped to keep her in her own home which she owned for 63 years. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews in Canada.
A Private Funeral Service will be held on Saturday July 29, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Suffern United Methodist Church in Suffern.
