Doris G. Flowe, 96, of Andrews passed away on Monday, July 24, 2017 in Andrews.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate her life at 1:00 PM Saturday, July 29, 2017 at McNett Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Donnie Rollie, Home Hospice Chaplain, officiating. Interment will follow in the Andrews North Cemetery under the personal care of McNett Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6 – 8 PM. Doris was born on July 9, 1921 in Comanche, Texas to Bertie Joe Guthrie and Bertha Lee McCoy Guthrie. She was raised in McCamey and graduated from McCamey High School. She married Ray Frederick Flowe on January 31, 1948 in Midland. They have lived in Andrews since 1967. She had been a member of Calvary Baptist Church, where she had taught Sunday School, and a member of the First Baptist Church. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star – Midland Chapter #253. She believed her sole purpose in life was to take care of her family. She is preceded in death by her husband on January 26, 2005, her parents, brother, Joe Guthrie, sister, Norma Scott, and her beloved dog, Andy.

Doris is survived by her children, Randolph Flowe of Andrews and Rita and David Hamilton of Dallas, and grandson, Dr. Zachary and Jennifer Hamilton of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
