MAGDALENO M. CRUZ
SAN CARLOS – Magdaleno M. Cruz, 83, died Sunday, July 30, 2017, at Edinburg Regional Medical Center.
Born in Mexico, Magdaleno had lived in Edinburg most of his life. He might be gone, but his spirit will always be with us.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Estela G. Cruz; a son, Jose Maria “Chema” Cruz; and a daughter, Nelia C. Davila.
Magdaleno is survived by seven children, Irma Solis of Garland, TX, Raul (Leonor) Cruz of Edinburg, Magdaleno (Isidra) Cruz, Jr. of Dallas, Monica (Oscar Luis) Garza of, Garland, TX, Renato (Teresa) Cruz of Reedley, CA; 23 Grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and a brother, Dolores Cruz.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Wednesday, August 2, 2017, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. Thursday, August 3, 2017, at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in San Carlos. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Garden in Donna.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
