Stephen Joshua Arndt, 34, of Clyde, formerly of Stephenville, died early Sunday morning, July 30, 2017 in an automobile accident near Sweetwater.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, August 5th at Stephenville Church of the Nazarene with Kurt Plaxco officiating. Burial of Stephen’s cremains will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery at 2:00 PM. Services are under the direction of Stephenville Funeral Home.

Stephen was born on April 29, 1983 in Stephenville to William and Barbara Childress Arndt. He graduated from Stephenville High School, Class of 2002. He married Dianna Celisse Golden on January 21, 2006 in Stephenville. Stephen lived several years in Arizona and in Taylor County, and the past two years in Clyde. He was a Medevac Helicopter Pilot for Native Air. Stephen graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Utah Valley University and a Master of Science from Purdue University. He became a father in 2016 and again in 2017.

Survivors include his wife, Dianna; daughters, Ellie and Zadie; mother, Barbara Arndt of Stephenville; brothers David and wife Liz Arndt of Ohio and Matt and wife Rachel Arndt of Arizona; grandmother, Mary Arndt of California; and eleven nieces and nephews.

Stephen was preceded in death by his father, Bill, on July 21, 1994.
