Melody & Rick Curtis
We will miss Nancy and her dry sense of humor. Mary (Mom) and Nancy ate dinner with us almost every night and at some point during the meal Nancy would say "so Rick, how much of this should I eat or should I save room". She wanted to go to Dairy Queen for a Candy Cane & Oreo Blizzard. Our DQ in Sierra Vista had an extra box of Candy Cane and opened the box for us, so we have happily had her favorite blizzard at minimum twice a week since February.
She was a quiet but a strong lady...she was not a touchy-feely person buy you sure knew she loved you. She hated not being able to take care of herself so now she is in a much better place. I am positive she is giving Bob and David a hard time. Probably even racing them to the Golden Gates.
She was an awesome person with a career as Nurse for over 34 years. In 1989, she carried the Olympic torch in Oklahoma City. She was very competitive and loved racing participating in marathons and even road in the "Hotter than HE double L" a 100 mile bike race multiple times. Once she retired she volunteered over 7000 hours with the IBMC Volunteer Auxiliary. Bob and Nancy loved to ride bikes, their fur babies and the family.
She will be missed.
