Emma Lou Griffin Thompson, 81, passed away on Sunday, August 6, 2017. Emma was the daughter of the late James Robert and Lelia Chapman Griffin.

In addition to her parents, Emma was preceded in death by her husband, James Willard "Bill" Thompson. She leaves to cherish her memories her children, J. Barry Thompson, Linda Gross (Mike) and Brenda Rickmond (Billy); eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She will fondly be remembered as "Big G" by the many children she helped raise.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 in Whiteheads Grove Cemetery with the Rev. Ray Rowland officiating.
