Minnie R.  Richards
Celebration of Life Service for Minnie R. Richards (nee McMichael), 77, of Eastlake will be 7:30 p.m. Thursday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby.
Mrs. Richards passed away Aug. 5, 2017 at Hillcrest Hospital in Mayfield Hts.
Born Apr. 20, 1940 in Brownsville, Penn., she had been a Lake County resident for over 60 years, living in Willoughby before moving to Eastlake.
Minnie loved the Cleveland Indians, enjoyed baking, puzzles and crosswords. She entered and won the very first Miss Eastlake pageant in 1957. Her family was most important to her, especially her grandchildren.
Minnie was the loving mother of Elizabeth A. (Christopher) King, Leonard A. (Jennifer) Richards Jr., Marie M. (John) Patterson-Shimko, Eileen M. (Nick) Mlachak, Timothy M. (Erin) Richards, and Sean P. (Brenda) Richards; cherished grandmother of Chelsea, Kate, Emily, Alan, Ron, Hope, Abbye, Cora, Lenny, Madeline, Evan, Liam and Sadie; great grandmother of Melissa; sister of Beatrice Prall, Patricia Lothman, and Merle (Neal) Bartone; sister-in-law of Sandy McMichael; and aunt of many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Leonard A. Richards in 1998; parents, Merle and Catherine (nee Hone) McMichael; siblings, June Klug and Richard McMichael; and brothers-in-law, Robert Prall and Arthur Lothman.
Family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at All Souls Cemetery, Chardon Township.
