Clinton-David J. Cashes, 49, passed away peacefully at UMass Medical Center in Worcester, on Thursday, August 3, 2017 following a brief illness. He is survived by two brothers and their wives, Rick Cashes & Susan of Clinton; and Brian Cashes & Carol of Biloxi, MS; aunt Cathy Connelly, and uncle Joseph Pfister, both of Cape Cod; nieces & nephews, Derek, Christopher, Cassandra, and Caitlin Cashes; 2 great-nieces, and many dear friends. He is pre-deceased by two sisters, Barbara and Theresa Cashes.
David was born in Wilkinsburg, PA to the late Deacon Roderick F. Cashes & Carol Ann (Pfister) Cashes. He was raised in Clinton, graduated from the Clinton High School, Class of 1985, and enlisted to proudly serve our nation in the United States Army National Guard. A master of the kitchen, David worked as a cook for several establishments before ultimately remaining at home to provide care for his ailing parents in their final years. He enjoyed time in his garden, and was a generous friend always willing to help another in need.
