Condolence From: Ed Friedewald
Condolence: To Rima and all of Jerry's children,
I came to know Jerry through another patient of his and am I ever glad that my friend referred me to him!
For the past eleven years, I bantered back and forth with his engaging, and most likeable personality. His keen awareness of my medical history and problems provided a sense of security that always made me feel comfortable. He cared for each of his patients as individuals and you sensed this by observing the time he took with each one.
He was quit witted and cordial, brilliant and kind hearted, and we often joked about the pitfalls of aging too soon, which he passed off as the inevitable...
I know you'll cherish the memories of such a loving patriarch of the family, and the people who he cared for professionally will never forget him, either!
You are in my thoughts and prayers,
Ed Friedewald

Condolence: Jerry was a wonderful doctor and a fine man. He was my doctor for years, and his skills and intuition helped me live a good life. It was always a joy to come and see him, even when the reason was a health problem. I know he is missed by everyone who knew him. Condolences to all his family.

Condolence: PASSING OF AN OUTSTANDING LINCOLN SUPPORTER: DR. GIRARD (JERRY) MOLINE
I was just informed of the passing of Dr. Jerry Moline. Dr. Moline was a long-time friend of our university. Dr. Moline assisted regularly each year for the past couple decades with the judging of our annual Lincoln University Regional Science and Engineering Fair. He was a true friend of Lincoln.
Dr. Moline year after year, functioning as a physician in our Jefferson City community, would even call off his appointments for the annual March Friday that Lincoln regular holds its regional fair and Missouri Academy of Sciences paper competitions. Jerry also was trained as an Engineer, working with defense contractors for many years prior to attending and graduating from medical school. His physical and medical science backgrounds made him invaluable as a fair judge. He would assist us throughout the entire day’s events: morning project judging of Senior High entries down in Jason Gym, while serving on our finalist judging team the same afternoons. This finalist judging team each year makes the determination as to the two senior high students that LU sends on to the annual International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) which LU is affiliated. Lincoln sponsors these annual student events through a regular budgeted line item. I will always believe that these student-oriented events demonstrate just how committed our university is in providing continuing and outstanding service to our community. Dr. Moline’s support and direct participation in these events was always exceptional.
Jerry was one of the nicest individuals that I have ever had the pleasure working alongside. He was always upbeat, wonderful with the high school entrants at our annual fair, and loved being a part of these events. Community service was always one of my highest priorities while a faculty member at LU prior to my retirement in 2014. Jerry was living proof of just how strong these community ties have been over the years and I am sure they continue today. His passing will be missed by all of us at Lincoln that had the privilege of getting to know him.
I extend my deepest condolences to his family and friends.
Dr. James Rooney,
Professor of Biology (retired)
Founder and Past Director
Lincoln University Regional Science and Engineering Fair
