James Carlos Payne, age 54 of Cookeville, Tennessee passed from this life August 9, 2017 at his home in Cookeville.
He was born Monday, December 3, 1962 in Detroit, Michigan, he was the son of the late James and Jacqueline (Counts) Payne,
He was a loving Father, and Brother. He served in the U.S. Army in Germany.
He loved fishing, his cat, and building things with his hands.
He is survived by:
1 Daughter:
Rebecca R. Payne of Winston Salem, NC.
1 Son:
Joey Payne of Greensboro, N.C.
2 Sisters:
Tawnya Day of Troutman, N.C.
Tina James of Rosamond, CA
1 Brother:
Mark Thomas of Rosamond, CA
A host of Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 2 Brothers: Larry "Mokie" Payne, and Matthew Thomas.
The family has chosen cremation and a Memorial Service may be held at a later date.
