Matt Brown, 42, of Independence, MO passed away Wednesday, August 9, 2017. A celebration of his life will be held at 6pm on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at Community of Christ Village Heights 1009 Farview Dr, Independence, MO, 64056.

Matt was born on May 24, 1975 in Independence, MO to Karen Fulton. He was a boy scout as a child, wrestled all through high school and graduated from Truman High School in 1993. On May 20, 2006 he married Kimberly Claibourn. Together they ran Sharper Image Construction. In his spare time he enjoyed camping, fishing, building things, and above all racing where he received many awards. Most of all he loved his children.

Matt will be remembered by his wife Kimberly of the home; daughter Meagen Brown and Jeffrey Brake; son Matthew Manos; daughter Nina Brown; mother Karen Fulton – all of them from Independence, MO; sister Angela Anderson of Kansas City, MO; grandma Lois Brown; uncles Kevin Brown; Ricky Fulton; plus several nieces, nephews, and extended family; and his first grandchild on the way.
