Obituary for Mary Janet Harwood (Boutin)

Mary Janet Harwood 87, a former resident of Bennington, VT and more recently of Alachua, Florida passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 in Gainesville, Florida.

She was born in Bennington, VT July 12th, 1930. She was the daughter of the late Henry L. Boutin and Mary Louise (Trombley) Boutin. She received her education in Bennington and was graduate of Bennington High School in 1948.

She married Frederick (Mickey) W. Harwood, Sr. on October 10th, 1948. Mr. Harwood died on October 2nd, 1992.

She was a member of several local organizations including the Elks, Moose and Country Club. She enjoyed playing golf. She especially enjoyed being around her grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Kathleen Pendergast and her husband Jim of Charleston, South Carolina; Frederick (Ted)Harwood, Jr. and his wife Shelly of Alachua, Florida; Michelle Cole of Port St. Lucie, Florida and her husband Donald; eight grandchildren and 15 greatgrandchildren.

A graveside committal service will be held at the family lot at Park Lawn Cemetery on Friday August 25, 2017 at 11:00 am.
