Obituary for Douglas Charles Copeland
COPELAND, Doug
On Friday, August 18, 2017, Doug peacefully passed away at the age of 90. Predeceased by his wife, Ora. Doug was one of eleven siblings. Loving father to David (Shirley) and Debra Dusseault (Joe). Proud Poppa of Sophie, Simon, Elizabeth and Charlie. Doug became a teacher at the age of 19, he taught in Udora and Acton and was the Principal of Parkview Public School in Hagersville for many years. He always enjoyed seeing former students on the golf course. He loved playing piano and organ and was a long time member of the Haldimand Choralairs. Visitation will be held in the Miller Funeral Chapel, Caledonia, on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 from 12 p.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. Internment in Caledonia Cemetery, followed by a reception at Grace United Church, Caledonia. In lieu of flowers, a donation to a local charity of your choice would be appreciated. A special thank you to the staff at Parkview Meadows, Birch Trail, for their exceptional care.
