Condolences

Condolence From: Richard Van Ebert
Condolence: My sincerest belated condolences to Timothy Smith, who I had the pleasure of knowing while were on active duty together. Although I never met Professor Smith, I relied on his legal writing book as a trusted reference book while I practiced law. Tim gave signed copies of Colonel Smith’s books “Men ay War” and “To the last cartridge.” I enjoyed both books and was looking forward to any other military history books that Colonel Smith might publish in the future. Alas, I regret that will no longer be possible. Again, Tim, my sincerest sympathy on the loss of your distinguished father. My very best regards.

Condolence: Professor Smith was my law school professor in the 1980s. He was a quiet yet shining example of professionalism, courteousness, and respect. I still think of his teachings when doing legal writing.
