Robert Clark "Bob" Elser
Robert “Bob” C. Elser, 62, Leawood, KS passed away Aug. 26, 2017. Memorial services will be at 10 am, Thursday, Aug. 31 at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St, Independence, MO 64055; cremation. Visitation will begin at 9 am before the service at the chapel. Bob was born Oct. 5, 1954 in Kansas City, KS. He graduated from Truman High School before earning his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Missouri. He then began his career in the greeting card and advertising industries. He had worked at Andrews McMeel over the past ten years. He enjoyed golf, fishing and going on cruises-Bob loved to travel. He was a member of the County Club of Leawood and was known for his great sense of humor by his many friends and colleagues. Bob was preceded in death by his parents Otto and Rosalee (Smith) Elser. He is survived by his wife of twenty-seven years Chris Elser of the home; brother Jim Elser and wife Linda; nephew Jeffrey Elser, all of Kansas City, MO; uncles and aunts Dr. Wallace Smith and wife Anne, Lee’s Summit, MO and Lane Harold and wife Ruth, Independence MO.
