Joan A. Noble, age 82, of Chandler, Arizona, passed away on Thursday, August 31, 2017. She was born as the middle daughter of three to the late John I. and Emma Yos Meehan on April 8, 1935. Joan attended Immaculate Conception High School, Washington D.C., before graduating from St. Joseph's College, Emmitsburg, Maryland, in 1957.

Family was Joan’s passion and delight. She spent her years as a devoted mother and wife, dedicated to the sports careers of her four children in Annapolis, Maryland. The devotion to family continued as she followed her twelve grandchildren’s travels and pursuits with equal fervor.

Joan is survived by her sisters, Barbara Meehan Sullivan and Karen Meehan Randall. She was pre-deceased by her dedicated husband of 54 years, whom she cherished, Lawrence F. Noble. Surviving her are her four children, MarySue Noble Flick and her husband David Flick of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Lawrence F. Noble, Jr. and his wife Karen Noble of Fernandina Beach, Florida; Nancy Noble Slattery and her husband Matthew Slattery of Shrewsbury, Pennsylvania; and James S. Noble and his wife Michelle Noble of Altadena, California. She also is survived by her 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

A viewing will be held at Kalas Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 6th from 6 to 8 p.m. Services will be held at St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Ft. Washington, Maryland, on September 7th at 11 a.m. Donations may be made to the Mercy Home for Boys, (Mercyhome.org) 1140 W. Jackson Boulevard, Chicago, Illinois, 60607.
