Obituary for Dominick G. Fanelli

Dominick G. Fanelli, 90, of White Plains, NY died September 2, 2017. He was born February 23, 1927 in White Plains, to the late Teresa (Fulciniti) and Francesco Fanelli. Dominick proudly served in the United States Army from 1945-1946 where he was stationed in Germany. He received an Army of Occupation Medal and a WWII Victory Medal. On April 4, 1964, Dominick and Josephine (Carmeli) were married in Brooklyn, NY. Dominick worked in carpentry for over 20 years before his retirement.

Dominick is survived by his loving wife, Josephine Fanelli of White Plains, and their three children, Rosemary Fanelli (Richard Hymes) of New York, NY, Theresa Fanelli (Thomas Kuhn) of Waldwick, NJ, and Dominick F. Fanelli of Valhalla, NY. He is also survived by his five grandchildren: Caroline, Rachel, and Matthew Hymes, and Alexander and Jason Kuhn, his brother Anthony Fanelli of White Plains, NY, and his sister Grace Battaglia of Oak Ridge, NJ.

A private burial will be held on Wednesday. A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday at 10:30AM at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in White Plains. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in his memory to Cure Alzheimer’s (curealz.org) or Alzheimer’s Association (alz.org).
