Condolence: Jeanne and Family, My deepest sympathies to you on the loss of Mike Lair. He was a fabulous teacher and football coach at Raymond Central High School. But, even more importantly, Mr. Lair was a wonderful role model to all who were fortunate enough to know him. So many memories of him for all of us to treasure. Mr. Lair blessed all our lives.

Condolence: To the family and friends of Mike Lair...May God Bless you all with peace and understanding in your hearts ♥️ and your souls That God has called him home and even though you may think that his calling came way to soon let your hearts ♥️ and your souls feel the warmth of the love ❤️ that God has for him and feel Bless'd that you got to share the time you did with him in this place and time ... I believe that God had a plan for him while he was here and he also has a plan for him while he's away from here . Mr. Lair was our history teacher and football coach back in the 70s at Raymond central high school. i must say that everyone that ever was taught by him in a classroom that I know Of...would always say that Mike Lair was the best teacher that they've ever had his unique way of approaching a student and his teaching style were greatly respected by kids. He had a way about him that drew the kids in to the subject at hand and made them want to learn more... I know this firsthand because I was one of those kids and for this I say thank you Mr. Lair for being there for me and so many other kids that came before me and after me… God did know what he was doing when he instilled your teaching skills.
And although I didn't play football for him LOL… My older brother Mark did and I can tell you firsthand that he had great respect for this man that he called coach and I can tell you also that I believe that every kid on that team and all the teams that he coached respected him became better players and Most definitely better men for playing For him.
I could still hear his voice bellowing out onto the field… Come on are you "men" or " Mice" and then that big laugh of his… Yes he definitely had the cool factor as a coach and a teacher . We need more teachers like him in the world… Again my thoughts, my prayers , my condolences, going out to all of his family, his friends, and of course his coworkers because I know from experience that everyone that knew him loved him .💕

Condolence: I will never forget this man! I hear his hearty "Salutations" still. I remember the billboards in his classroom, "Life is either a daring adventure or nothing." It wasn't just his stature or voice that made him stand apart from the rest. He had integrity and showed respect even though we were just a bunch of rowdy teenagers in another history class. I was a history student of his when he taught at Raymond Central Jr. Sr. High School near Davey, Nebraska in the late '70's. So grateful to have known him. So sorry for your loss.

Condolence: My most sincere condolences to Mr. Lair's family. Mr. Lair was our History teacher at Raymond Central Jr/Sr High for several years. I graduated in 1977. He left an impression on everyone one he touched there! His unique teaching style got through to kids where nothing else would. I will be forever grateful for having him as a positive influence in my life. I also had the pleasure of having Mr. Lair as a neighbor for several years in Ceresco, NE. He always had golden retrievers that were much loved! I remember spending time with him when he was letting the dogs have a good run! Rest in Peace Mr. Lair. We loved you and your memory will live on in all of us that you taught!

Condolence: Jeanne and family,
Please accept our heartfelt condolences on the loss of my dear friend, Mike. I played football with "lightening Lair" at Prep, the Shrine Bowl, and also at Colorado State University. Jimmy O'Brien referred to Mike as a "gentle giant," and that he was. My heart is heavy and sad at your and my loss. MIke will be in my prayers and heart. Know that he has been enrolled in the St. John Francis Regis University Memorial Mass Program here in Denver, where a Mass will be offered for him each year on the anniversary of his going to our Lord. God Bless.
