Obituary for George David Dulebohn

George D. Dulebohn, 83, of Waynesboro, PA and formerly of New York City and Ovid, New York, died September 3, 2017 at Leland of Laurel Run, Waynesboro.
Born September 9, 1933 at Locust Level, PA, he was a son of the late Isaac and Carrie Hege Dulebohn.
George was a 1950 graduate of Greencastle High School. After high school, he worked as a milk tester for DHIA. He then enlisted in the US Marine Corps and served from 1953 to 1956. Following his discharge, he entered Gettysburg College and graduated from there in 1959. He worked for Moody’s on Wall Street for a time, and spent most of his life as a taxi driver in New York City and as a gentleman farmer in Lodi, NY. George was an avid reader and he maintained his ties to this area while residing in New York.
He was a member of Mt. Tabor Evangelical Lutheran Church, Clear Spring, MD.
Surviving are two sisters, Jane Sogegian and Mary Joyce Shatzer, two brothers, John Dulebohn and Thomas Dulebohn and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by four siblings, Edgar Dulebohn, Anna Mae McDonald, Lois Heinbaugh, and Joseph Dulebohn.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM September 9th at Mt. Tabor Evangelical Lutheran Church, 14615 Fairview Church Road, Clear Spring, MD.
