Condolences

Condolence From: Jill Hyson
Condolence: So my husband and I moved to Blue Springs, MO in 2002. I was still in the Air Force Reserves and the changes in their physical test, drove me to look for a running class. I found " Running for fun"or something like that. I often thought it was an oxymoron - running and fun in the same sentence.
Bill made it informative, educational and dare I say fun. He often reminded me that he was an Italian trapped in an irishman's body.
I'll miss his stubborn but larger then life personality. My condolences to His family.

Condolence: My sincere condolences to Bill's family. I met Bill through Big Miles and he was an inspiration and a delight, particularly on those long runs in the early morning hours. I also remember a Christmas party I held at my small home. Eileen had the chair of honor, guarded by my 25 pound cat and Bill took to playing my old out of tune piano much to the delight of all the guests. His writing was extraordinary and enjoyed his columns for Big Miles and Master Pieces. Though my favorite writing was the occasional letter, generally around Christmas. There are many more memories to share and I know your fond memories of Bill will lift you up in this difficult time.

Condolence: Mr Harkins was a very nice guy and good neighbor. He looked out for his kids and all of us who played or hung out with his kids. He and his wife took us in the day our house burned down while our parents were out Christmas shopping and they cared for us til our parents returned home. Mr Harkins was a good man. I hope and pray his family is consoled in their loss and that God blesses them, comforts and strengthens them in the days to come.

Condolence: Sad to hear this. Bill was a super cool guy.

Shared many a laugh, and many a drink with Bill at V's.

My sincere sympathy goes out to the Harkins clan.

Gonna miss you old boy. God bless.
