Obituary for Mary Sydorenko
On September 9, 2017, Mary Sydorenko of Edmonton passed away peacefully at the age of 87 years.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Lucy (Brian) Dunsford; two grandchildren, Stephanie (Chris) Denman and Veronica (Shane) Hankey; two great-grandchildren, Wynn and Lennon; brother, John Huculak; niece, Elizabeth, nephew, Jim; and numerous relatives and friends in Canada, USA and Ukraine. Predeceased by her husband, John; parents, Paraska and Wasyl; sister, Katrina; and brothers, Dennis and Nick.
Thank you to the Allen Gray Continuing Care Centre and the other private caregivers for their care and compassion.
Prayer Service Thursday, September 14 at 6:00 p.m. at Park Memorial Chapel, 9709 – 111 Avenue, Edmonton.
Funeral Rite Friday, September 15 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John’s Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral, 10951 – 107 Street. Reverend Father Cornell Zubritsky officiating with interment in St. Michael’s Cemetery. In lieu of other tributes, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Alberta & NWT, 10531 Kingsway Avenue, Edmonton, AB T5H 4K1.
