Teddy Varney 75 of Pikeville, KY passed away Friday September 15, 2017 at the Pikeville Medical Center.
He was born December 24, 1941 in Pike County, KY to the late Dewey & Celie “Honaker” Varney.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Thelma May “Slone’ Varney, one son James Stacey Varney; four brothers, Lonzo, Dewey Jr, Grant & Blige Varney, two sisters, Kansas Reed & Frankie Harris.
Teddy is survived by his loving son Teddy R. Varney of Pikeville, step-children, Randy D. Slone & Valerie Slone, one step-grandchild Rachelle Slone, and thought of as a Grandson Christopher Gage May; two sisters, Birdie Chapman of Prestonsburg, KY & Arizona Varney of Kimper, KY, & a host of family and friends.
He will be forever missed by all who knew and loved him.
The family will accept friends at the Thacker Memorial Chapel, Saturday 6PM, September 16, 2017 with a service at 7PM with Edward Varney officiating. Funeral services will be Sunday September 17, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. with burial to follow at the Varney Family Cemetery at Kimper, KY.
