Obituary for Gary Weaver

Gary  Weaver
Gary Wayne Weaver, age 74, passed away at his home in Hawkins, TX, on Saturday, September 16, 2017. He was born on November 30, 1942, in Kansas City, MO to Wallace Wayne and Edna Mildred Kinne Weaver. Gary attended grade school in Kansas City and joined the Cub Scouts at the age of 8. Years later he would earn his Eagle Scout Award as a sophomore in high school. Gary went on to graduate from Central Missouri State University in 1964 where he met the love of his life, Nancy Payne. On March 14, 1964, he married Nancy and together they had a son and daughter. Gary and Nancy enjoyed traveling as well as spending time with family and friends. Gary was always quick to start a conversation with anyone he encountered and made countless friends wherever he went. Gary's first job out of college was with Mobil Oil where he continued to work for 28 years. After retiring from Mobil Oil, Gary sold and brokered real estate in the east Texas region for 20+ years. He is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Nancy; son, Brian and his wife Mary and their two daughters Cady and Cali; daughter, Keri and her husband Chris and their two sons Reed and Luke and daughter Kira; sister, Sheri and her two sons Aaron and Adam.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at Beaty Funeral Home from 6-8 pm. Memorial will be held on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Holly Tree Chapel, 1620 FM 2869, Holly Lake Ranch, TX 75765 with Dr. Tim Mink officiating. A lunch reception will follow the memorial services at the fellowship hall of Holly Tree Chapel.
Family has requested that donations can be made to Hospice of East Texas.
