SLIK (Schaafsma), Liz “Lies” - Has gone to be with her Lord and Saviour with her family by her side at Sakura House, Woodstock on Friday September 22, 2017 in her 85th year. Beloved wife of Klaas Slik and the late Jim “Yme” Schaafsma (1997). Dear mother of Bert Schaafsma (Lorraine), Philip Schaafsma (Janie), Teresa Hill (Larry), Connie Schaafsma (Randy), Frank Schaafsma, Lynn McKim (Scott), Jim Schaafsma (Deb), Jason Schaafsma and step mother to Thea Vanderklyn (Hein) and Nico Slik (Jolanda). Cherished grandmother and Oma to 29 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Dear sister of Gert VanderVlies (Marleen), Aad VanderLinde (Piet), Tineke VanderVlies, Janny (Rolf Geerlings) VanderVlies and Lydi VanderVlies. Predeceased by her parents; Philippus and Catharina (nee De Weerdt) VanderVlies, by her sister Lenie Greenway and by her brothers; At and Henk (Inga) VanderVlies. Friends are invited to join the family at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Monday September 25, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held at Maranatha Christian Reformed Church, 735 Frontenac Crescent, Woodstock on Tuesday at 11:00 am. Interment in the Burgessville Baptist Cemetery.
