Sandra Alfreda Nixon was born on March 12, 1940 in Boston, Massachusetts to the late Lettie and Alfred Nixon. After graduating from the Jeremiah E. Burke High School. She later met and fell in love with US Coast Guard Caesar Johnson whom she eventually wed.
The couple then had 3 children, Kevin, Dean, and Cindy. Sandra continued her education and earned a license in Optometry, and worked at LensCrafters for many years until her retirement. Her favorite pastimes included shopping and traveling .
The beautiful, loving and caring Sandra will be missed by her 5 grandchildren: Kevin, Dionna, Andrew, Aaron and D’Ondre; Her great grandchildren, Ka’ron, Kaylani, and Dayna, as well as her surviving siblings, Linda, Alfred, and Wendall along with a host of other family and friends.
There will be a Viewing on Wednesday, 9/27/2017 from 6:00 to 7:00pm followed by Funeral Service at 7:00 O’clock at the Riley-Antoine Funeral Home, 171 Humboldt Ave., Dorchester, MA 02121.
Final disposition: St. Michael Crematory.
