Doris Laverne (Gilbert) Glenn of Forest passed peacefully on Monday, September 25, 2017.
Doris was the beloved wife of the late Ralph James Glenn. Together they raised their family, Shirley (Fred) and Doug (Brenda) while farming on their homestead. Doris was blessed with three wonderful grandchildren, David (Linda), Glen (Nicole) and Tammy (Rob) along with great grandchildren, Liam, Emma, Ethan and Elyse, they grew to love her as she loved them. Doris will also be missed by many nieces and nephews.

The 2nd youngest of 11 children, Doris grew up on her family farm just outside of Arkona near Keiser Corner. Growing up Doris loved her sports, playing ball and riding horses. As she grew, Doris took to driving her horse and buggy on school days. After Doris and Ralph retired they both took up their passion of horse racing, buying, selling and training horses. A passion that Doris continued even after the passing of her beloved Ralph.

Shirley and Doug would like to welcome family and friends to Gilpin Funeral Chapel, 123 King Street in Forest on Saturday, September 30th at 1pm. This will be an informal time to celebrate and remember Doris’s life following a graveside service for the immediate family.
The family would like to express their thanks for the amazing care given to their Mom during her time at North Lambton Lodge.
