Virginia G. Andrews, 92, of Toms River passed away on Thursday, September 28, 2017 at Ocean Medical Center, Brick with her family by her side. She was born and raised in Upper Darby, PA, graduated from Upper Darby High School and received her BA in music from West Chester University. Virginia, along with her husband, Robert, moved to Manasquan in 1950. Virginia was a teacher for over 20 years, working as a full time and part time teacher in Manasquan Elementary School, St. Uriel Kindergarten and Lakewood Hebrew Day school. She also worked as a real estate agent for Robert Wood Agency in Manasquan for 10 years. Virginia had a strong Christian faith and was a very active member of the Community Bible Fellowship, Toms River. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Virginia is survived by her husband of 68 years, Robert W. Andrews of Toms River; a son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Mary Andrews, Jr. of Waretown; a daughter , Susan Rand of Yardley, PA. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Monday, October 2, 2017 from 5-8 pm at Orender Family Home for Funerals 2643 Old Bridge Road Manasquan, NJ. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday October 3, 2017 at 10 am. Interment to follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Brielle.
