Clory Thomas (Rael)
Clory P. Thomas, age 72, a resident of Jarales, passed away on Thursday, September 28, 2017. Clory was a member of Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church. She worked as a cook at the Jaramillo School once her children grew up and moved out on their own. Clory cared for her children with love and pride and she was also a devoted wife to her husband, Gilbert.

She was preceded in death by her father, Lawrence “Lencho” Rael; brother, Edward Rael; daughter, Doreen Cordova; and grandchildren, Aristeo Valenzuela, Jr., Michael Lynch, Jr., Destiny Chavez, Michael A Lynch, Sr., Gilbert Aragon, Jose Baldonado, Sr., Joe Baldonado, Jr., Mike Sainz, Louisa Sainz, Freddy Thomas, Lawrence Thomas, Loui Chavez, Theresa Chavez, Sally Jaramillo, Robert Cordoba, Hope Chavez and Jordan and Jeremiah.

Clory is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Gilbert Thomas; mother, Felicita “Fela” Chavez Aragon; her children, Ronald Thomas and his wife, Ramona, Joe Thomas and his wife, Violeta, Magdalene Padilla and husband, Joseph and Dorothy Lynch; grandchildren, Angelina Lopez, Ronald Thomas, Jr., Monique, Susan, Claudia, Tiesa Quintana, Joseph, Ervin, Kevin Thomas, Desirae Padilla, Phyllishia Montoya, Carlos and Valeene Lynch, Rudy, Faith and Yvonne Valenzuela; brothers, Albert Rael and wife, Patty from Barstow, CA and Alvin Rael and companion Ammy from Albuquerque; sister, Renee Chavez and her husband, Rudy; sisters in law, Nica Thomas, Toni Torres and Nina Aragon; 44 great grandchildren; and many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, cousins. Clory and Gilbert also raised Rudy, Faith, Yvonne and John “Boo” Barger after their loss of their daughter in 2005, Doreen Cordova.

All services will be held at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church on Friday, October 6, 2017. A Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m., with a Rosary to be recited at 10:00 a.m., and a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Belen Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are being handled by the caring professionals at the Noblin Funeral Service Belen Chapel, 418 W. Reinken Ave., (505)864-4448.
