Obituary for Virginia Rhind (Trainor)

Virginia  Rhind (Trainor)
Virginia (Ginny) Rhind, 87, of 1996 Livingston Oak Drive passed away peacefully on October 4, 2017, at Sentara Rehabilitation and Care Center in Chesapeake, with her daughter Debbie and son-in-law Curtis by her side.

Born in Attleboro, MA on December 7, 1929, she was the daughter of Arthur and Loretta (Smith) Trainor. Virginia attended Attleboro High School and Sturdy Memorial School of Nursing where she received her degree as a Registered Nurse.

Virginia was a long time resident of Stockbridge MA. She worked as an RN for the late Edward Knight, MD at his office on Main Street in Stockbridge. She then joined in the opening of The Suburban Internal Medicine in Lee MA, as an RN for Dr. Knight, Desmond Tivy, MD, William Baker, MD and Charles Stratton, MD where she worked for many years

In December of 1984 she moved, with her daughter Debbie, to Virginia Beach, VA. While there, she worked at Westminster Canterbury and Beth Shalom Nursing Facility until retiring in 1997.

Virginia was a supportive, loving and caring mother. She leaves three sons, David of Great Barrington, MA, Jay (Chantal) of Stockbridge, MA, Kevin (Kathy) of Toano, VA, and two daughters Debbie (Curtis) of Virginia Beach, with whom she lived, and Laurie of Salem, New Hampshire. She also adored and loved her 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

The family would like to thank the Freda H. Gordon Hospice and Palliative Care of Tidewater for their kindness and comfort to Virginia and her family during this time.

They would also like to express sincere gratitude and a very special thank you to the entire staff at Sentra Rehabilitation and Care Center in Chesapeake. Especially, the team of Garden Springhouse for their kindness, devotion and dedication to the care of their mother.
