The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Laura Hardie can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Laura Hardie
Peacefully at St. Josephs Lifecare, Brantford on Friday October 6, 2017. Laura (nee McHugh), of Burford, in her 97th year. Beloved wife of the late James Albert Hardie (2000). Loving mother of Dan (Gloria) and Holly. Dear grandma of Jason (Sandi), Jeff, Bethany (Jonathan), Julie (Mark). Great-grandma of Jordan, Evan, Paige, Cole, Connor, and Ryan. Predeceased by grandson Jeremy (2005). Laura will be sadly missed by her nieces, family and friends. Laura was a member of the Burford United Church, the U.C.W. and a former member of the Eastern Star, Burford Chapter.

Friends will be received at the Keith Ovington Funeral Home, 134 King Street, Burford on Friday November 3, 2017 from 10-11 a.m. followed by a Memorial Service to be held in the chapel at 11:00 a.m. As expressions of sympathy, donations in Laura’s memory may be made to the Burford United Church or a charity of your choice.
