Our daughter passed most unexpectedly while visiting family in Lake Placid. It was a very difficult event, but being assisted by Scott Seawinds provided a measure of dignity, peace, and comfort.

The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Scott Dowda can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence: I am sorry for your loss. Please allow God to comfort you through this painful loss through His promise to care for our dead loved ones in the resurrection at Acts 24:15. Death was not a part of God's original purpose for mankind and that is why it is so hard to deal with this kind of loss. But our loving Heavenly Father has provided a solution to all of our problems including sickness and death through His kingdom{government} in the hands of Jesus Christ our Lord real soon so that we can welcome our loved ones back in the promised resurrection to enjoy the wonderful life He purposed on a paradise earth. {Psalms 37:9-11,29}
