Obituary for Mary E. Donahoe (Crawford)
Mary Elizabeth Donahoe, 89, a 21-year resident of Annapolis and previously of New Carrollton, passed away on Sunday, October 8, 2017 after a brief illness.
Mary was born on January 7, 1928 in Fall River Massachusetts to the late Thomas J. and Elizabeth McGaw Crawford. She was a graduate of Statesville High School in Statesville, NC and received her nursing degree from Georgetown University School of Nursing. She worked as a nurse at both Providence and Georgetown University Hospitals. Mary was a parishioner at St. Mary’s Parish in Annapolis.
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, John C. Donahoe; her son Thomas Donahoe and her brother Thomas Crawford.
She is survived by her children Martin (Carol Anne) Donahoe, Elizabeth (Peter A.) Ljungberg and Rita (Geoffrey) Gaertner and two grandchildren; Emily and Natalie Donahoe.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate Mary’s life on Friday, October 13 from 4-6pm at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday, October 14 at 9am at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 620 Bestgate Rd., Annapolis, MD. Interment at Mt. Olivet will take place at 1pm.
