William Keith  Dodd
William Keith Dodd, 68, of Waco, passed away Tuesday, October 10, 2017. A memorial service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 14, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home.
William was born March 6, 1949, in Houston, TX, to John and Virgie Dodd. He joined the US Marine Corps at the age of 17, and served in the Vietnam War. After his service with the Marines, he joined the US Army, where he served for 19 years, during the Korean War, and the Gulf War, in both Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm. William was awarded two Purple Hearts and the Silver Star Medal. After retirement from the military, he worked as a commercial and residential painter at Grant Goss Contracting in Waco. On July 1, 2000, William married Prudence “Liz” Parrish. He volunteered at the Waco VA, and was active in the Purple Heart Club, in Waco.
William was preceded in death by his father, John Dodd; one son, Bradley Dodd; and brother, Mark Dodd.
William is survived by his wife of 17 years, Prudence “Liz” Dodd; mother, Virgie Buckner; son Christopher Dodd; step-daughter, Linda L. Honey and husband Ronald; step-son, James Lowe, Jr.; brother Gene Carter and wife Elma; sister, Leah Bucklin and husband Michael, along with other siblings; and grandchildren Christopher and Billie Dean Honey, and Peyton Lee Scott-Lowe.
