Condolence: I will never forget the first time I met Ron. I volunteered to assist with hiring new workers with hearing disabilities in 1989, given my experience and (primitive) knowledge of ASL. When participating in the interview at Hutton House in London, my first impression - and one that remained with me always was Ronnie's animated expressionism, his robust, confident nature and a friendliness that would never be hindered by the lack of word or sound. Seeing Ron on his first day on the shop floor - exactly the same wonderful man I met and recommended for hire, felt like a victory not for me, but for a young man who was proof that inner strength and perseverance will win the day - and he truly wanted the job and the opportunity to prove himself. As I grew in the union leadership he was an ally and an inspiration for myself to fight for equality in the workplace. Ron became a great friend to so many and a mentor for new young workers over the years with his canny insights, fabulous sense of humour and deep respect for every person regardless of any outward notions. My life was enriched by knowing Ron. I wish for his family and friends that they can hold forever onto his memory and find peace in the knowledge that he gave so much to so many.

Condolence: Ronnie is dearly missed . We all loved Ronnie at CAMI. I first met Ronnie the summer of 1990. Always a happy go lucky guy . Brightening our lives with his luminous personality. Many good times at work and play like the time we partied at a Alice Cooper concert.

Condolence: I was so sorry to hear of the passing of Ron. I am a worker at Cami and when I would see Ron , he was always smiling and had a wave for me. At my first picket duty on thursday sept 21, I recall telling someone, in our strike in 92 I had strike duty with Ron at the truck gate. Then we heard of his passing after that, so sad. I see you have lost another son as well, my thoughts and prayers are with you all. Ron had many friends at Cami , he will be missed.
