June 7th, 1940 - October 13th, 2017
Fred Gaede, beloved husband of Jean passed away on Friday, October 13th, 2017 at the age of 77. Fred was
born and raised in Calgary. He grew up in a trucking family and at the age of 13, he decided school was not for him. He quit school and began pedaling his bike across Calgary delivering telegraphs. Fred worked most of his life in the trucking business, starting off doing deliveries, then eventually long haul trucking. He had a love for aircraft and earned his pilot's licence. He enjoyed flying, camping and holidaying in Vegas with Jean at Christmas.
Fred will be dearly missed by his wife Jean who was the love of his life; sons Derrick and Christopher; step-children June and Laurie; sister Linda; 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his father William and his mother Rose.
A Celebration of Fred's Life will be held at Inglewood Community Centre (1740-24th Avenue SE) on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at 1:00 pm. Complete obituary to follow.
