Kevin McCoy of Yardley passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, Oct. 12, 2017 at home. He was 50.
Born in Trenton and raised in Hamilton Township he had resided in Yardley for the past 25 years with his beloved wife, Maria; and son, Brandon, whom he was very proud of.
Kevin was president and a founding partner of K McCoy Inc. Insurance Agency in Hamilton where he worked with his brothers, Joshua and Kenneth who were not only his business partners but also his best friends.
Kevin was a parishioner of St. John the Evangelist Church in Lower Makefield, Pa. where he also served as a Eucharistic Minister sharing his faith through his friendly nature and in bringing Holy Communion to nursing homes and those homebound. He was also a member of the church's finance committee.
He was a member of the San Felese Society, the Mercer County Chamber of Commerce, an officer with the Hamilton Township Knights of Columbus Council No. 6213, serving as Chancellor, and President of LeTip of Princeton.
He was a Pittsburgh Steelers and a New York Yankees fan.
He loved going to the gym with his son Brandon and enjoyed spending time with him whenever he could, coaching his baseball and basketball teams during his childhood.
Kevin loved vacationing with his family to Ocean City, Md. and Boca Raton, Fla. He also enjoyed a good cigar.
Kevin was a loving and devoted husband, father, brother, son-in-law, uncle, and friend to many. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Son of the late Earl J. and Jean A. (Petrino) McCoy; son-in-law of the late Primo DiGiacomo; nephew of the late Peter Petrino; Kevin leaves behind his beloved wife of 25 years, Maria (DiGiacomo) McCoy; his son whom he adored, Brandon J. McCoy; his two devoted brothers, Joshua and Kenneth McCoy; his mother-in-law, Giuseppina DiGiacomo; his brother-in-law, Paul DiGiacomo and wife, Kathy; his niece, Marissa and husband, Chris Katzman; his nephew, Paul-Michael DiGiacomo; and his aunt, Rosalie Petrino; as well as many other family members and countless friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2017, at St. John the Evangelist Church, 752 Big Oak Rd., Morrisville, Pa. All are welcome to attend the funeral mass. Entombment will be private. There are no calling hours.
