Robert and I first met a few years ago when taking an Opera Class via CLR at Delaware Valley University. As a student in this class he was an engaged and knowledgable gentleman who contributed frequently to our varied discussions about Opera and music in general. Over time he and I began to talk about music and art, which were some his favorite interests . As a matter of fact that year he had entered one of his pieces of art in an art exhibit, where the painting was quite favorably received.
This Fall Robert and I had signed up for the same class called "The Glorious Art: From Russia with Love." He quickly became a primary contributor to the discussions of the various compositions which we studied and at one point helped the class to understand a particular aria sung in Russian. From then on he was fondly referred to as "our friend who understands some Russian."
My sincerest condolences go out to his husband and partner, Woody, as well as all other members of his family. Robert, in the short time that I have known him, exuded kindness, gentleness and a regard for his fellowman. He left his special mark on this world and will be greatly missed .
