Condolences

Condolence From: Sociedad Compañeros de Jesús - Quito Ecuador
Condolence: Thank you, Lord God, for Father Ted's life.
Father Ted, our best friend and brother since 1969.
You prolonged our life when you gave up your physical blood!
With your spiritual guide, you formed what we Know today as "Sociedad Compañeros de Jesús". We thank you because, during your annual vacations from your pastoral job, you preferred to come to Ecuador, and share with us your valuable time. You congratulated yourself when you saw that our group grew in members and activities. Your work was tireless with innumerable confessions, which gave peace to many broken hearts.
We will miss you so much!
Today, when we were preparing to be with you from October 25th to November 8th, your silence alarmed us but we know, now, that God took you to be with him.
Even though, he has deprived us of your physical presence, your spirit will be with us always!
We are convinced that your ministerial, economic and affective support will live forever in each member of our group.
We love you Father Ted! Please intercede for your children whom you formed for the glory of God.
Please ask our Lord his help, so we can grow in quality and quantity, specially in our internal community.
We join in the grief of Gerard Pieper's family, his wife and children, all this relatives, and also to all the priests and missionaries. (Mons. Luis Casey).
Let's follow Father Ted's foot prints by planting love as the main value for Christians ,so we can do the best in our interactions with others as well as with everything in our daily lives.
Glory to our Lord for the life of Father Ted, and for being able to share his life with us for more than 49 years. He was really a good friend!
In the history and the action of the group "Compañeros de Jesús" you will live forever.

Condolence: The world lost a very special man. A man with a true servant's heart. One who would take care of others often neglecting himself. My first memory of him was at school. We used to sit outside on the wall in front of the school. All of us kids. He came riding up on his motorcycle. A priest on a motorcycle. Now to 6 yr old me that was one of the coolest things ever!! Now this wasn't even a fancy motorcycle. It was pieced together. He worked on it himself to save money and to not bother anyone else. It was different colors from his work. But he knew that if he could do something himself he should.
He became a part of our family. He was there for my first reconciliation, first communion, confirmation, funeral of those I loved (especially my grandpa and son), all of our celebrations and holidays, and even a part of my wedding. He baptized my oldest. My middle son has the same middle name as him. I can only hope and pray that my son's can be half the man he was. I can pray that maybe one of them will follow his footsteps and be a priest. I can only hope that they can help add good to the world the way he did.
Fr. Theodore Xavier Pieper you will be missed. You were a blessing and we were lucky for you to be a part of our family for as long as you were. You were a truly remarkable man. Until we see you again, rest in peace Fr. Ted.

Condolence: I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Father Ted. Every Sunday when I arrived for mass at Holy Trinity Parish in St. Ann, Father Ted would be outside the door greeting us all. He always had a smile and a kind word; I looked forward to arriving at church each Sunday to see him. Then once mass began, the whole church waited to hear the funny little jokes he wove through his homily. I was truly blessed to be able to have the honor and privilege of having someone as fine and honorable as Father Ted come into my life, even for a short time. God bless all of you.
