The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Janeth Johansen can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Her Children

Mom would say that she had four beautiful and completely different children.  First came Jeff, the first born.  He was sort of a rascal you might say, but he could light up her face and turn any bad day into a good day by giving her a hug and just being there.  Then came Sandy, mostly happy, easy going and her rock at the end of her life.  Then her beautiful second daughter, loving and caring, a bit moody at times, but her baby girl.  They shared crafting interests and spending time together talking about the grandkids and what have you.  Trailing six years later would be her second son, Ed.  He was a joy as a child and a pillar when she was struggling with her health and emotions after the older kids were out of the house.  She was proud of each child, loved them dearly, and always found the best in them.  She learned how to use the computer and Facebook to keep track of the family when she could know longer travel.  She loved showing off pictures of the latest grandchild or great grandchild to all her friends.  Even though she only met her younger grandchild as an infant, she kept up with her life through Facebook posts.  As with all the distant family she shared their victories and struggles following them and would comment to them via the social media.  She wasn't one to say I can't if she had an agenda.  She loved and cared about each distant family member as much as if they lived next door.
