The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Arlene Branwall can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence From: Charles Sparrow
Condolence: It was my good fortune to join Lockheed Aircraft from North Carolina about a year after Lee and Arlene Branwall moved south from Minnesota. Lee and I shared a console on a large electronic analog computer. It did not take us long to identify the favorable aspects of our native states. It is to the credit of both Lee and Arlene that they worked to make friends in their new home, and they still can claim close relationships with many who knew them in Georgia. In the same fashion, we Southerners developed an appreciation for our Scandinavian counterparts, especially those of Finnish extraction. Arlene is greatly to be credited with enriching our outlook on life. It is our blessing to have a continued good friendship unaffected by time and distance.

Arlene was a person of grace and good cheer. Her three years in Italy led her to develop a program for 3M that served international families posted in the U.S. No matter where she happened to be or whomever she was with, she found much to appreciate. It is a lesson we can all take to heart.
