Obituary for Francis P. Dougherty

Francis P. Dougherty passed away suddenly October 26, 2017. He was 56. Born in Bristol, PA and a resident of Philadelphia. Francis was a Union Carpenter with local 1856 and took such pride in his work. Francis was known to be quite the character. He loved to make people laugh and always had a smile on his face. Francis was a real people person with a charitable nature who was loved by many. He enjoyed spending time Ocean City, New Jersey with family. He was a amazing man and an even better dad to his 3 children who he absolutely adored.
Francis will be deeply missed by his longtime companion Cathy Smoger, his children Patrick Francis, Bridget Colleen, and Courtney Mary Dougherty, his siblings Harry, Denise, Brother Joe, Bill, Jerry, his Twin Daniel, Marie, and Stephen. He will also be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews and his dog child Teddy.
Francis was preceded in death by his parents Henry and Marie Dougherty .
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Monday October 30, 2017 from 6pm-8pm at the Tomlinson Funeral Home 2207 Bristol Pike Bensalem Pa 19020 and on Tuesday October 31, 2017 from 9:30am to 10:30 am at Christ of King Church 3252 Chesterfield Road Philadelphia, Pa 19154. Mass at 10:30am. Interment Private. Memorial contributions in his name may be made to the Women’s Humane Society 3839 Richlieu Road Bensalem, Pa 19020.
