Of Lancaster formerly of Waltham, passed away Saturday October 28, 2017 at the UMASS Memorial - Clinton Hospital at the age of 92.
Born on June 19, 1925 in Pescara, Italy; son of the late Alfredo and Elisa (Aquilio) Corvini, Remo immigrated to the United States as a young man. He spent many years in Watertown before moving to Waltham in 1974, where he resided until 2012 when he moved with his daughter to Lancaster.
Remo was employed as a Groundskeeper at Brandeis University in Waltham for several years before working at the Polaroid Corporation in Waltham as a Crew Chief until his retirement.
He was a dedicated & hardworking family man, that devoted his life to providing everything for his family. Remo had an incredible voice and he enjoyed singing. He was a huge soccer fan and had a passion for flowers and gardening.
Remo is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years Annunziata (Vellante) Corvini, his loving & devoted children Elisa Marie Hodges and her husband Donald of Lancaster and Robert Corvini and his wife Laura of Watertown, his cherished grandchildren Nicole Corvini-Cargill, Maria Corvini-Kett, Michael Robert Corvini, Anthony Remo Corvini and Ashley Peterson Levitre, his adoring great grandchildren Philip, Kyle and Juliana, and his dear siblings Renato and Iniz Corvini both of Italy. In addition he is survived by numerous nieces & nephews.
He was predeceased by several brothers & sisters.
Relatives & Friends are respectfully invited to attend Funeral Services in celebration of Remo’s Life in the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons Memorial, 773 Moody Street, WALTHAM on Wednesday afternoon Nov. 1st at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery Chapel Mausoleum in Waltham. Visiting Hours will be held in the Mary Catherine Chapel prior to the Funeral Service on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
